Marketing Assistant

Jewels Leading Lights Schools (JLLS) is a Christian-based institution committed to raising well-rounded leaders through academic excellence, character building, and service. We also manage and promote other expressions, including Jewels Leading Lights Foundation, a personal brand, and Discipleship Family Academy.

Role Overview

We are seeking a competent, creative, and highly organized Marketing Assistant to support marketing activities across our schools and related brands. You will report to the Marketing Lead, the school head of Administration and the Director. You will help drive visibility, lead generation, and brand consistency using a mix of digital and traditional marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in content creation (blog posts, social media, newsletters, video scripts)
2. Manage SEO optimization for websites and digital platforms
3. Run and monitor paid advertising campaigns (Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
4. Write and send engaging email marketing campaigns
5. Support social media marketing with posts, stories, reels, and campaigns
6. Maintain and update WordPress websites (advantageous skill)
7. Assist in event marketing and school/community outreach campaigns
8. Track marketing performance and prepare reports

Requirements

1. Proven experience in SEO, content writing, and paid ads
2. Knowledge of email marketing tools (Mailchimp, etc.)
3. Familiarity with WordPress is an advantage
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
5. Highly organized with attention to detail
6. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
